From west:  I-20 east, exit #183 (Hwy 221/47) Follow signs to Clarks Hill Lake.  When you see Visitors Center, you need to turn right onto Power Plant Road. Continue until you see the Power Plant, keep going until you see the dam.  Shelter is on the left side.  
 
From east:  I-20 west, exit #199.  Follow signs to Clarks Hill Lake.  When you see Visitors Center, you need to turn right onto Power Plant Road.  Continue until you see the Power Plant, keep going until you see the dam.  Shelter is on the left side.
