Internet Relay
With Internet Relay from Georgia Relay, you can connect to the relay using your computer, web device or wireless device. The Communications Assistant (CA) handles an Internet call the same as a traditional relay call | voicing or reading everything you type to the other party | and typing everything the other party says so that you can read the conversation on your screen or device.
There are no time limits on your calls and Internet Relay is available 24/7/365 with faster connections and response times than traditional relay. Georgia Relay offers you two forms of Internet Relay:
Instant Relay
With Instant Relay from Georgia Relay, you can place and receive calls instantly, wherever you are and whenever you want, using AOL™ Instant Messenger (AIM) or GoogleTalk™. Think of it as instant access through the Internet.
Web Relay
Web Relay from Georgia Relay, allows you to make and receive calls right at your computer | without interruption! Web Relay has been created to eliminate the typical Instant Messenger distractions, allowing you to focus on your incoming and outgoing calls.
Designed exclusively for use on your computer, Web Relay is a fully customizable Internet Relay solution that allows you not only to place relay calls, but also to receive calls when youfre logged on! If youfre not available to receive calls, youfll get a message from your caller if they choose to leave one. Youfll appreciate the convenience of making and receiving calls without being interrupted by friends through your Instant Messenger program.
Receive calls with your Hamilton HomeTown Number™.
The Hamilton HomeTown Number is a locally-based, 10-digit that will be assigned to you, once you’ve registered with Hamilton, to work with Instant Relay or Web Relay. This will allow you to receive calls at any time from standard telephone users. By registering, you will also be able to make an emergency call via Internet Relay.
Your ten-digit number and location information will automatically route to the nearest emergency center. (Currently, emergency calls from Internet Relay users lack key identifying data and typically need to be rerouted.)
You can switch your existing 10-digit number from any provider to Hamilton Relay at any time.
