Internet Relay
Through Internet Relay, people can make Relay calls using their computer,
Web phone, personal digital assistant (PDA) or any other Internet-capable
device. To access this feature, users must have an Internet Service Provider
(ISP).
To make an Internet Relay call:
1. Visit our home page, www.georgiarelay.org and click on the "Internet
Relay" button (located in the lower left-hand corner of the page).
You will be immediately redirected to Hamilton Relay's home page, hamiltonrelay.com.
2. On the main menu, left, roll over "Internet-Based Relay." Another menu will appear. On that menu, roll over "Internet Relay." Then, click "Make A Call Now!" on the menu that appears.
3. Follow the prompts on the page that comes up. Or, if you need additional
instructions, click on one of the "How to make a call" options on the menu, right.
4. Once you are ready, don't forget to click "Place Call."
5. You will then be connected to a CA who will place your call. When the
call is answered, the CA will type the standard phone user's greeting. For
example, "HELLO GA," or "HELLO ABC COMPANY GA."
6. After you see "GA," begin typing your message to the other
person.
7. Once the other party responds, the CA will type his or her reply back
to you. The conversation will continue back and forth between you and the
other person.
8. When you are ready to hang up, type "SK" and click "Hang
Up."
